Batemans Bay Bushwalkers Inc.

Buckenboura River
The Batemans Bay Bushwalkers was formed in 1985 and is now approximately 180 members strong. We are an active Club, walking twice a week from February to November inclusive - that's approximately 85 walks every year. Each walk is graded according to its length and degree of difficulty and range from 6 kilometre easy rambles to 20 kilometre hilly hikes.

With 70% of our local walking area comprising State Forest and National Park, we have a superb landscape to discover - beaches, rocky coastlines, eucalypt forests, rivers, mountains, temperate rainforest, goldmines, wildflowers. Click here to download an abbreviated list of walks (in pdf format). For privacy reasons, we do not publish our current detailed Program on this website, however you can request a copy by email by clicking here.

In addition to walks, we also schedule regular Bushwalking Camps, Backpacking Trips and, less frequently, Interstate Bushwalking Safaris. Details of these can be found on our Program. We also organise at least one social occasion a quarter, including tennis afternoons, trivia nights, car rallies, dinners and Christmas functions.

Our Club is run on a non-profit, voluntary basis, and we like to think that at some stage all members will make some contribution as either walk or camp leaders, walk report writers, and committee members. We look forward to your support and hope to see you on a walk soon.
